Suni Lee announces gymnastics return for LA 2028

Six-time Olympic medalist Suni Lee has announced her return to gymnastics, aiming to compete in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. The 23-year-old American star posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday, stating she is back in the gym and ready to resume training.

Lee's Olympic Achievements

Lee, the 2020 all-around champion, earned three medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics: team gold, all-around bronze, and uneven bars bronze. She is the latest member of the 2024 U.S. women's gymnastics team to declare intentions for LA 2028, following Jade Carey who has already returned to competition.

Post-Paris Break and Comeback

After the Paris Games, Lee took a break from the sport. Her announcement marks the end of that hiatus, with the LA Games approximately two years away. In her Instagram post, she simply stated, 'I'm back,' signaling her commitment to a third Olympic appearance.
