A violent confrontation erupted in Emmerdale when Ross Barton accused Robert Sugden of a break-in at Home Farm, leading Aaron Dingle to physically attack Ross.
Ross's poor detective work
Ross, who works as Head of Operations at Home Farm under Kim Tate, has been neglecting his duties, spending time at the café instead. When Kim discovered a break-in, she grabbed her shotgun and confronted the intruders herself, furious that Ross was absent. Upon his arrival, she gave him a list of suspects and demanded the crime be solved quickly.
Instead of investigating properly, Ross immediately accused Moira Dingle, who kicked him out. He then turned his suspicions on Robert Sugden, ignoring the fact that Robert had recently been hit by a runaway trailer and was in no condition to commit a robbery.
Aaron defends Robert
Aaron Dingle, Robert's lover, took offense at the accusation and attacked Ross with his fists. Serena Sugden intervened to prevent further violence and explained her reasons for staying, though Aaron remains wary of her.
Meanwhile, Kim realized that the stolen item was a USB stick, raising questions about its contents and who would go to such lengths to obtain it.
