A 60-year-old man was involved in a collision with a bus while cycling in Croydon early this morning, prompting road closures that lasted most of the day. The incident occurred on Cherry Orchard Road at approximately 6:51 am on July 17.
Emergency Response and Injuries
Police officers responded to the scene, where they found the cyclist injured. The London Ambulance Service also attended, treating the man at the scene. His injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. The road was closed for most of the day and reopened around one hour ago.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 6.46am today (17 July) to reports of a road traffic collision on Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon, CR0. We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
