Katie Price's New 'Mucky Mansion'? Neighbours Upset, She Denies Neglect
Katie Price denies neglecting new home after neighbour complaints

Reality TV star Katie Price has publicly denied allegations that she is neglecting her new rental property in West Sussex, after neighbours reportedly voiced concerns about rubbish accumulating outside the home.

Fresh Start Marred by Fresh Complaints

The former glamour model, 47, moved into a converted barn near Horsham, West Sussex, last year, following her departure from the infamous 'Mucky Mansion' she owned in Sussex. The new property, which costs £4,500 per month in rent, was intended to be a new beginning. However, aerial photographs taken in mid-January 2026 appeared to show cardboard boxes and bin bags surrounding the exterior, prompting local unease.

Sources speaking to the Daily Mail suggested residents were worried the mess could attract vermin, becoming a problem for the wider area. "She does not own this property, so she needs to ensure it's kept up to standard," an insider claimed. The barn is believed to be owned by developers Mark Hogan, Gary Hall, and Andrew Allen of Brasii Manco (Lodge Farm) Ltd.

Price's Forceful Denial

Katie Price responded swiftly on social media, labelling the reports "really disappointing." She explained that the bags and boxes were simply post-Christmas waste awaiting collection, a situation she argued was common for many families after the holidays.

"There's absolutely no truth to the idea that I'm letting my home become dirty or neglected," she stated defiantly, adding that the waste had since been "cleared up." Despite the controversy, some locals have welcomed her personally. One elderly resident described her as "very friendly," suggesting people were often looking for her to "take a step out of line."

Leaving a 'Hellish Ordeal' Behind

The new rental marks a conscious move away from her previous home, which she purchased for £1.35 million in 2014 and which became nationally known as the 'Mucky Mansion'. Price has always denied being evicted from that property, describing her time there as a "hellish ordeal" and a mental trigger.

She moved out in March 2024, and the house was sold in December 2024 after she was declared bankrupt for the second time. She received no profit from the sale, having been forced to reduce the asking price by £150,000 to help settle debts. Price shared her relief when the bankruptcy was "discharged" in March 2025.

On her podcast last year, she reflected: "Moving house, being in this house, it's the best thing I ever did, was move from that house." The star, who recently split from boyfriend JJ Slater, insists she is now focused on a positive future in her new community.
