Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with a stabbing on Clapham High Street that left a 20-year-old man injured. The incident occurred on the evening of May 18, shortly before 8:10 PM, during an altercation on the busy shopping parade.
Emergency Response
Emergency services, including multiple paramedics and an air ambulance crew, attended the scene. The victim was treated on-site before being transported to a major trauma centre. According to the Metropolitan Police, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
MyLondon understands the stabbing took place inside or near a KFC outlet on the high street. Blood and medical equipment were visible at the front counter, and police established a cordon focusing on that area.
Arrests Made
Officers have detained three men aged 19 and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. All four remain in police custody pending further enquiries.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson stated: "We were called at 8:08 PM yesterday (Monday 18) to reports of a stabbing on Clapham High Street, SW4. We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinician in a response car, an incident response officer, and London’s air ambulance. We treated a male at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre."
