Teenager Fighting for Life After City Centre Shooting
A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot on a busy Sheffield street during rush hour.
The incident occurred on Monday 25 November 2025 at approximately 5:20pm on London Road, a major route into the city centre.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a shooting, where they discovered the teenage victim with serious injuries.
Police Investigation and Arrest
South Yorkshire Police have confirmed the arrest of a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
Detectives from the force are working to establish the full circumstances that led to this violent attack.

Sheffield Superintendent Martin Simcock condemned the attack, stating: "Gun crime and violent crime has no place in South Yorkshire, and the fact that a young boy is fighting for his life is appalling and will not be tolerated."
He emphasised that the investigation still relies heavily on help from the public, urging anyone with information to come forward regardless of how insignificant it might seem.
