The Metropolitan Police have stated there is currently no evidence to indicate sexual offences were committed during a disturbance in Isleworth that sparked major online concern. This follows viral social media claims that circulated over the weekend.
What Happened on London Road?
On Sunday, 11 January, large crowds gathered outside a property on London Road, Isleworth. The assembly was prompted by widespread allegations on social media platforms which claimed that sexual offences, involving a minor and an adult, had occurred at the address.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service were called to the scene at approximately 7pm to manage the crowd and investigate the claims. During their response, they arrested a 34-year-old man at the property.
The Arrest and Police Investigation
The man was detained on suspicion of common assault in connection with a separate incident alleged to have happened in December 2025. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
In an update, police emphasised that their investigation into the events of Sunday has found no reports or indications of any sexual offences taking place. Detectives are, however, maintaining an open mind as they work to establish the full circumstances that led to the protest.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police acknowledged the alarm caused within the local community. They said: "We understand the concern this incident has caused... At this time there is no indication of any sexual offences having been committed, but detectives are keeping an open mind and would encourage anyone with information to come forward."
The police continue their enquiries and urge anyone with information related to the incident to contact them. Key details for the public include:
