Mother of Slain Influencer Seeks Justice and Peace

The heartbroken mother of an influencer killed after being run over outside a Mayfair nightclub has said she is 'determined to get justice' for her daughter. Klaudia Zakrzewska was hit with two other people outside the Inca nightclub in Argyll Street, Soho, at 4:30am on April 19. The 30-year-old known to her hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram as Klaudiaglam, was put in a coma before dying in hospital on Saturday.

Her mother Kinga posted an update on her Just Giving page on Monday, saying: 'My precious daughter has gained her wings and is now at peace among the angels. She brought so much love, joy, and light into our lives, and that light will never fade. I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for the kindness, love, and support you've shown. Your messages, prayers, and donations truly mean the world to me and I know they would mean everything to her as well.'

'As we navigate this unimaginable loss, I am committed to giving my beautiful angel the farewell she deserves, a service filled with love, dignity, and the grace that reflects who she was.' Kinga said any money raised intended for her care will now go towards her funeral so she is 'laid to rest in the most meaningful and special way possible'.

'In addition, I am determined to seek justice for my daughter. Part of the donations will help cover legal fees as I pursue the best possible representation to fight for her and her memory.' She asked her followers: 'Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you again for standing beside us, for lifting us up, and for helping honour my daughter's life. Her love lives on in all of us.'

X Factor finalist and fellow influencer Gabrielle Carrington had her attempted murder charge increased to murder after Ms Zakrzewska's death, the Metropolitan Police said on Saturday. Carrington, of Broadfield Road, Manchester, is also accused of dangerous driving, being nearly twice the drink-drive limit and causing injuries to two other people – a third woman and a security guard – who were also hit by her Mercedes. She made it to the X Factor live finals in 2013 as one of the three members of Miss Dynamix and now has more than 365,000 followers on Instagram under the handle RIELLEUK. As she appeared in the court she made a heart sign towards the court sketch artist.

Klaudia is believed to have become involved in an argument outside Inca nightclub with Carrington. A 58-year-old security guard Anoosh Chaichy also suffered life-changing injuries after being hit by the car. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said: 'We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Klaudia's family and friends in light of this tragic update. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident.'

'We recognise that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media; however, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation.' She added: 'We also ask that people do not share graphic footage out of respect for Klaudia's loved ones and for those who have been injured. The circulation of such material could also undermine our ongoing criminal investigation and potentially prejudice future court proceedings.' Carrington did not enter any pleas during the hearing and will next appear at the Old Bailey on May 19.
