A man in his 30s remains hospitalized after being stabbed during a street fight in Leytonstone on the evening of April 27. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 PM at the junction of High Road and Cathall Road. Emergency services were called to the scene but could not locate the victim, who later presented himself at a hospital and was subsequently transferred to a major trauma center.
Police Investigation Underway
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the man's injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made, and the attacker is still at large. Witnesses are urged to come forward.
Police cordoned off the area around High Road and Cathall Road at around 11:20 PM for initial investigations, and the roads fully reopened four hours later.
London Ambulance Service Response
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson stated: 'We were called at 11:06 PM to reports of a stabbing in Cathall Road. We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes, but the patient had left the scene. We were then called at 11:18 PM to transfer the same patient from a local hospital to a major trauma center.'
