A 66-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a 30-year-old man was discovered at a residential property in South London.
Incident Details
At approximately 6:39 PM on Wednesday, April 22, police were alerted by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a death at a house on Winterslow Road in Camberwell. Officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and found the body of a 30-year-old man who had sustained what were described as significant injuries prior to his death.
Arrest Made
The following day, detectives tracked down a 66-year-old man in Kent and arrested him on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
Police Statement
Superintendent Alan Duncan, who oversees local policing in the area, said: "This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time. We have made one arrest and our investigation continues at pace, as we work to establish the full circumstances. We would like to ask anyone with relevant information that could help our investigation to come forward."

The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
