Police are investigating a potential link between the stabbing of two men in a terrorist attack in Golders Green on Wednesday, April 30, and another knife attack that occurred in Southwark earlier that morning.
Golders Green Attack
At 11:16 am on Wednesday, April 29, Met Police officers responded to reports that two people were stabbed in Highfield Avenue, Golders Green, in North London. Officers attended the scene alongside paramedics. A suspect allegedly tried to stab police officers and was tasered before being arrested. No officers were injured. Two men, aged 76 and 34, were treated at the scene for stab wounds and taken to hospital, where they are now in a stable condition.
Suspect Details
A 45-year-old man, a British national born in Somalia, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He was initially taken to hospital but has since been discharged and is now in police custody at a London police station.
Earlier Incident in Southwark
As part of the investigation, detectives are also examining another knife crime incident that occurred earlier that morning in Central London. Police were called at around 8:50 am to an address in Great Dover Street, Southwark, where a man brandishing a knife allegedly clashed with an occupant, causing minor injuries before leaving. Police arrived within six minutes and conducted searches in the local area, but the suspect was not located.

The Met Police issued a statement on the Golders Green attack, stating that their focus remains on securing justice for the victims.
