Drill Rapper Dsavv Escapes Police Custody Twice Amid Deportation Threat
Drill Rapper Escapes Police Custody Twice Before Deportation

In a dramatic series of events, drill rapper Daniel Boakye, who performs under the stage name Dsavv, has managed to escape police custody for the second time within a single week. The 21-year-old, who is facing imminent deportation to Ghana, fled from Lewisham Hospital on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2026, while receiving medical treatment under police escort.

Second Escape in Days

This latest incident marks Boakye's second escape in just a few days. Previously, he had absconded from West Middlesex Hospital on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, only to be recaptured less than 24 hours later in Thamesmead, approximately 22 miles away. According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, officers gave chase at Lewisham Hospital around 15:05 hours but were unable to detain Boakye before he exited the building.

The spokesperson described Boakye as a black male of medium height and slim build, last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket. The Met has confirmed that its Directorate of Professional Standards is aware of the incident and is conducting a review to fully understand the circumstances surrounding both escapes.

Criminal Background and Gang Links

Boakye's criminal activities extend beyond his recent escapes. Between June 2021 and January 2022, he participated in a spree of robberies and attempted robberies across London and Essex with three other teenagers. Armed with knives, the group forced victims to hand over mobile phones and provide passcodes, subsequently transferring over £115,000 in cryptocurrency into 'hot wallets'. They also used stolen bank details for fraudulent transactions, including purchasing top-up cards and paying for taxi fares.

Investigators ultimately caught the gang after identifying their home addresses from takeaway orders paid for with stolen bank information. Boakye is understood to have links to the London gang OFB – Original Farm Boys – based on the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham.

Music Career and Deportation Threat

As Dsavv, Boakye gained notoriety in the drill rap scene with songs like 'No Kiddin'' and 'Pocket Rocket'. His lyrics often boast about committing knife crimes, with one rap including lines such as, 'Man plug that shank in his socket. You should've saw the way he ran, that muppet. Still caught him and I chinged that muppet. Crime scene juice got spilled like bucket.' Despite his incarceration, he has maintained a fan base calling for his release.

Boakye's escapes come just months before his scheduled deportation to Ghana, adding urgency to police efforts to locate him. The Metropolitan Police continue their search, urging the public to report any sightings while they investigate the lapses in security that allowed these incidents to occur.
