Two men remain in hospital days after a violent stabbing incident on a busy Croydon street. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the victims, aged 20 and 31, were found with stab wounds on London Road, adjacent to West Croydon station, shortly before 7pm on Tuesday, January 20.
Police Response and Scene Investigation
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 18:50 hours following reports of a disturbance near the junction with Oakfield Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the two injured men, who were subsequently treated by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Both victims were transported to a major trauma centre for further medical attention.
A police cordon was swiftly established around a row of shops on London Road to facilitate forensic and investigative work. This cordon has since been removed, but the area remains under scrutiny as enquiries continue.

In a formal statement, the Metropolitan Police indicated that the injuries sustained by the two men are neither life-threatening nor life-changing. However, both individuals remain in hospital receiving care. The London Ambulance Service provided additional details, noting they were called at 6.55pm to reports of a stabbing on Oakfield Road. Resources dispatched included:

- A paramedic in a fast response car
Remarkably, the first crews arrived on the scene in less than four minutes, demonstrating a swift emergency response. Paramedics treated both patients for stab wounds before transporting them to the trauma centre.
