Man admits sexually assaulting wife over three years

A man in his 60s has admitted to a series of sexual offences against his wife, including two counts of rape, at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester. The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to 12 charges covering a three-year period from March 2022 to October 2025.

Guilty pleas and charges

The guilty pleas include two rapes, three sexual assaults, six assaults by penetration, and one count of sharing intimate images without consent. The man appeared emotional in the dock, occasionally wiping his face with a tissue as he entered his pleas.

One of the offences involved the man sexually assaulting his wife with another man, in his 50s and from Dundee, in October 2024. That co-accused has already admitted the offence at an earlier hearing.
