Loving dad of 3 dies in M25 lorry crash; family pays tribute

Legton Zulu, a 39-year-old lorry driver and father of three, died after two lorries collided on the M25 in Essex. The crash occurred on the anti-clockwise carriageway near junction 27 at approximately 3:10am on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The collision caused a fire, and Zulu was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family Tribute

Zulu's family released a statement through Essex Police, describing him as a devoted and loving husband, a proud father of three young sons aged 9, 6, and 4, and a faithful servant of God. “Legton sadly lost his life following a collision involving the work lorry he was driving on the M25 in Essex on Tuesday, June 16 2026. His passing has left his family, friends, colleagues and church community heartbroken,” the statement said.

Zulu had worked as a professional HGV driver for more than 15 years and was known for his dedication, integrity, and professionalism. He also served as a Deacon in Forward in Faith Ministries International (ZAOGA FIFMI), where he was admired for his humility, commitment, and love for God.

“He was kind, generous and always willing to help others. He touched many lives through his friendship, his service, and his passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” the family added. “He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, faithful servant of God and a true friend to many. He fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith.”

Police Appeal

Essex Police is urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward. Witnesses or those with dashcam footage should contact police quoting reference number 130 of Tuesday 16 June.
