Fulham Murder Probe After Woman Found Dead

A murder investigation is underway in Fulham after a woman in her 40s was found dead with head injuries at a home in Tyrawley Road. Police were called to the property, located in an affluent area near Eel Brook Common, at 1:10 AM on Thursday, April 30, following reports of a woman discovered with head injuries.

Despite the best efforts of ambulance paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A 45-year-old man, whom the Metropolitan Police believe is known to the woman, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.

The victim's next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Scotland Yard has confirmed that extra officers will be patrolling the area to reassure the local community.

Investigation Led by Detective Chief Inspector

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation, said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died. We have launched a murder investigation and my detectives will be working round-the-clock to establish the circumstances of this tragic incident. I would ask that anyone who has information that might be relevant to our enquiries contacts the police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 331/30APR26, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. Police are particularly interested in any witnesses or individuals who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the Tyrawley Road area during the early hours of Thursday morning.

The investigation remains ongoing, with detectives working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the woman's death. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any concerns to the police.
