Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones has married Love Island star Chyna Mills after four years together. The 44-year-old BBC dancer, a Strictly pro for a decade, confirmed the news on social media, announcing that he and Chyna, 27, tied the knot on July 1. The couple opted for a low-key ceremony at London's Marylebone Town Hall, with photos showing loved ones throwing confetti as they became husband and wife. Their daughter Havana, born in October 2023, joined the celebrations.
Family tensions overshadow wedding
Noticeably absent from the wedding were Neil's parents, reportedly banned from attending. According to sources, Neil did not tell his mother Helen or sister Terri when or where the wedding would take place. The family rift stems from accusations made by Chyna last year, when she accused Neil's mother of 'bullying, racism, and disrespect'. Chyna claimed that Neil's family 'ruined' Havana's baptism by not attending, which she considered the 'final straw' in their years-long feud.
A source told The Sun: 'The whole thing is a massive shame. His close and extended family were all there when he married his first wife, Katya Jones, and felt that was an incredibly special day. It makes it even more painful that they have now been cut out completely.' The source added that most family members have been blocked by Neil and Chyna, leaving them unaware of the couple's lives, let alone the wedding. 'Everyone feels like Chyna could have shared her concerns in a different way, but instead it's turned into a public matter, and the whole family have been tarred with the same brush.'
Showbiz congratulations and future plans
Despite the family tensions, the newlyweds received an outpouring of support from showbiz friends. Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas commented: 'Congratulations to two beautiful humans.' Former Strictly pro Oti Mabuse added: 'Crying congratulations.' Lauren Oakley said: 'Best day, you beautiful people. Can't wait for next week!' Neil and Chyna are set to fly to Italy for a second round of celebrations after finalising the legal formalities in the UK.
