Katie Price has disclosed the reason why her husband, Lee Andrews, failed to board his flight to the United Kingdom, leaving her to face a Good Morning Britain interview alone. Days earlier, Price publicly criticised Andrews for making her “look like a d**k” on live television by skipping their scheduled appearance and remaining in Dubai.
Missed Flight and Visa Issues
Both Price and Andrews denied reports that he was detained at the airport amid claims of an arrest. They explained that Andrews encountered a problem with his visa, an issue Price claims she had previously alerted Good Morning Britain producers about. In a new vlog on her YouTube channel, Price shared footage of the moment she learned Andrews would not be able to travel. As Andrews offered flustered excuses between a McDonald's meal and a beard trim, Price grew visibly frustrated.
Wedding Ring Removed
Following the week's humiliating events, Price appears to have removed her wedding ring. In footage from a shopping trip, she plays a voice note from Andrews, who reveals he is at the airport's McDonald's and cannot leave the UAE because he needs an exit stamp. “It’s going to put me back until tomorrow babe,” he says, adding that the missing stamp means he will miss their interview. A despondent Price responds, “I thought he’d got that.” Later, Andrews pleads for patience and support, noting he plans to get his beard trimmed for their eventual reunion.
In the caption for her show, Price wrote: “Spoiler alert…I’m p****d off!!! Time is running out for Lee and he needs to give a good reason as to why he can’t get back because I am not going back to Dubai.” She confronted him, saying, “Don’t do that to me again. Me having to go on live TV without you and make me look stupid and a d***.” Price added, “No wonder everyone’s saying, ‘You’re this, you’re that’, because they’ve got a reason to say it. I agree, I agree with everyone.”
In new Instagram pictures, Price is seen holding hands with her son Harvey without her diamond wedding ring. Fans noticed its absence, with comments like “Are her rings off?” and supportive messages urging her to “be kind to yourself” and “stick to you and Harvey.”
Marriage Under Scrutiny
Despite speculation that her marriage is already troubled, Price later appeared to imply a reconciliation. She reposted a video of a loved-up couple cuddling on her Instagram Story, tagging Andrews. The post read: “He’s like all the love I’ve ever poured out into the world finally found its way back to me, wrapped up in human form.”
Price also announced that Andrews would be stepping back from social media due to “trolling, people’s speculation and media frenzy.” She wrote, “We have both decided @wesleeandrews is taking a break from social media and we are keeping things between us for now as it’s our life and marriage and are very happy.”
Background and Concerns
The 47-year-old former glamour model married Andrews, 43, earlier this year, days after meeting him and before he met her family. Price has been travelling frequently to the UAE amid claims that Andrews is under a travel ban due to a past prison stint for alleged fraud. Although he denies this, Price recently confirmed restrictions, telling podcast listeners, “You can get a travel ban for absolutely anything.”
Describing the week as a “soap opera,” Price said she confronted Andrews and gave him an ultimatum: travel to England if he wished to see her, as she needed to care for her family. Her sister also expressed strong disapproval, stating she “can’t even say [Lee’s] name” because he “winds [her] up” and called him a “f***ing d**khead” on Instagram, adding that Price deserves better.
Concerns from Price's loved ones have been ongoing due to the rushed marriage. In February, a source told Metro that Price's family was “rightfully concerned about her announcing she’s intending to have Lee’s baby,” noting the romance has “come as a complete shock” and feels “extreme, even for her.”
Andrews, who has lived in Dubai for 21 years and claims to have purchased a new £36 million mansion with Price, continues to face accusations of scamming ex-girlfriends. Two former partners have urged Price to “run for the hills,” branding Andrews a “liar” and a “swindler.” Alana Percival has been particularly outspoken, calling Lee “toxic” and a “conman.”
Questions also surround Andrews's career. He insists he earns between $2-5 million (£1.5-3.7 million) annually from the US stock market, but several claims on his CV have been exposed as false, including being a member of the board of advisors for the Labour Party and director of philanthropy at The King's Trust. Andrews blamed his personal assistant for the errors.
