In upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) makes a reckless decision that lands him in police custody, complicating the ongoing murder investigation of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). Despite the street being swarming with officers, Brody finds himself arrested for theft.
Summer Spellman Under Pressure
DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) and DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) are determined to solve Theo's murder, but progress has been slow. Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) is currently the prime suspect after creating a journal detailing her hatred for Theo. In prison, Summer tells Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) that she feels pleading guilty to manslaughter is her only option.
Brody's Arrest
Meanwhile, Todd asks Lisa for his phone back, but she reveals it ended up at a pawn shop. The phone is sent to Forensics, and after inspection, Lisa arrests Brody on suspicion of theft. Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) discover Brody's fingerprints on Todd's phone and watch as he is taken away. Kit grows concerned as Brody struggles to explain himself, potentially putting him in the frame for murder.
Who Killed Theo?
Producer Kate Brooks previously revealed that the killer will be unveiled later in the summer, around late June or July. She promised many twists and turns, keeping viewers guessing until the very end.
