He claimed Brexit had not failed but was undermined by a political class that never believed in it. His speech set the tone for a day of lamenting the so-called Great Betrayal.
Lord Frost's Speech
Lord Frost, the former Brexit negotiator, admitted his deal was flawed but insisted it was the best possible. He called for reviving the excitement of the day after the referendum, seemingly unaware of the chaos that followed. Frost claimed people voted for Brexit to avoid being governed by unelected politicians, oblivious to his own status as an unelected peer. He blamed the EU for Northern Ireland's issues, asserting that the EU failed to grant all UK demands.

A hereditary peer complained about being silenced in the Lords, highlighting a lack of accountability. Former Tory minister David Jones delivered a forgettable speech, despite Claire Fox calling it the best Brexit speech she had heard. John Redwood declared economists wrong, claiming Brexit benefited the UK and encouraged buying diesel cars. He dismissed Remainers as a religious cult, unaware of the irony in his own unwavering belief.
The conference underscored a disconnect from reality, with attendees clinging to the certainty of their cause despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
