Harrow Council sacks officers filmed threatening man

North London council officers have been sacked after being filmed threatening to knock out a member of the public. Harrow Council said it took 'swift action' and takes officers 'deliberately turning off body-worn cameras extremely seriously'.

Incident Details

The shocking video was filmed on Northolt Road in South Harrow. Enforcement officers working for Harrow Council have been sacked after a shocking video shared on social media showed them threatening a member of the public in the street. The officers, contracted from Kingdom Services Group to the council, were caught on camera threatening to ‘knock you the f*** out’ and ‘rip’ the man's teeth out during a row on Northolt Road in South Harrow.

The aggressive confrontation was reportedly filmed on the man's Meta glasses, without the officers being aware, and has now been shared millions of times across various social media platforms. Although it’s unclear how the row erupted, the two contractors are wearing hoodies over their bright purple jackets and vests. One of the two is recorded saying: “I’ll come and throw you through the f****** walls.”

Threats Recorded

The clip begins with one of the enforcement officers confirming their body-worn camera is switched off. One was then heard to say: "When I'm not in uniform, I'm gonna knock you the f*** out and rip your teeth out." The other then adds: "We're gonna make sure you can't work no more and earn no money 'cause you're trying to butt in with our money. If I call a police officer for you, he'll f*** you up, you know, 'cause we work with them." He goes on to say: "Bruv, I'm having no-one disrupt my job, you know? Do I come and disrupt your money when you're painting and decorating? You f**king wasteman? I'll come and throw you through the f**king walls bruv."

Council and Company Response

The recording was shared on social media on June 13 but it is understood the incident took place on May 18, and the council were made aware of the footage on May 28. The incident was referred to Kingdom Services, the company that directly employed the men, the following day, and they were struck off the agency’s books on May 30.

A spokesperson for Harrow Council said in a statement: “We are aware of a video circulating in relation to the conduct of two enforcement officers. Swift action was taken as soon as the incident and complaint were raised to us and Kingdom in May, and the individuals involved no longer work for Kingdom. We take any instance of officers deliberately turning off body-worn cameras extremely seriously. Threats of violence towards members of the public are wholly unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

A Kingdom Services Group spokesperson stated: ‘As soon as the incident and subsequent complaint were brought to our attention in May, swift action was taken. The individuals concerned no longer work for Kingdom Local Authority Support. We take any instance of officers deliberately disabling body-worn cameras extremely seriously, as these devices are an important safeguard for both the public and our staff. Equally, any threats of violence towards members of the public are wholly unacceptable and will not be tolerated.’
