"It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end," Guthrie said in the video. "Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part. We will never stop looking for her." She continued, "We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts. The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I'm asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her."
Details of the Disappearance
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on 1 February. Authorities believe she was abducted. Investigators discovered drops of blood on Guthrie's porch and recovered DNA from a glove found 2 miles from her home. The glove initially appeared to match one worn by a suspect in surveillance footage from the night of her disappearance, but it was later discredited after being identified as belonging to a restaurant worker, not the abductor.
Rewards and FBI Investigation
Savannah Guthrie's family has offered a $1m reward for information leading to their mother being found. The FBI has added an additional $100,000 reward for conclusive information and is searching for a man approximately 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall with an average build.
