Metropolitan Police Manhunt for Escaped Prisoner Reaches Critical 12-Day Mark

The intensive search for an escaped prisoner in London has now entered its twelfth day, with authorities urging extreme public caution. Daniel Boakye, a 21-year-old inmate from HMP Feltham, remains at large after executing his second hospital escape within a single week.

Dual Escapes from Lewisham Hospital

Boakye first broke out from Lewisham hospital on Tuesday, February 10, only to be apprehended the following day in the Thamesmead area. For reasons still unclear to investigators, he was subsequently readmitted to the same medical facility. Merely four days later, at approximately 3:05 PM on Sunday, February 15, he managed to escape custody once again.

The Metropolitan Police have issued a stern warning: if anyone spots Boakye or has information regarding his whereabouts, they must not approach him under any circumstances. Instead, individuals should immediately dial 999 and quote the reference CAD4005/15FEB.

Criminal Background and Deportation Proceedings

Boakye is no ordinary fugitive. In July 2023, he was sentenced to six years and five months imprisonment for orchestrating a series of violent, knifepoint robberies targeting cryptocurrency holders, netting approximately £115,000. According to reports from The Sun, he was also slated for deportation to Ghana in the coming months.

A Home Office spokesperson emphasized the government's stance, stating, "All Foreign National Offenders who receive a prison sentence in the UK are referred for deportation at the earliest opportunity. We will not allow foreign criminals and illegal migrants to exploit our laws." The spokesperson further noted ongoing reforms to human rights legislation and the appeals system to facilitate increased deportations.

Police Description and Social Media Taunts

Authorities describe Boakye as a black male of medium height with a slim build. During his latest escape, he was reportedly wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket. In a brazen move, Boakye appears to have uploaded a video to Instagram taunting police efforts, though the specific content has not been publicly disseminated by media outlets.

The Met Police have circulated an image of Boakye on a London bus, though the exact route remains unconfirmed. This visual evidence forms part of a broader public appeal for information.

Connection to North London Rap Scene

Beyond his criminal activities, Boakye is known in music circles under the stage name Dsavv. He was a member of the North London rap collective OFB, which stands for Original Farm Boys, originating from the Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham.

His musical output includes tracks such as 'Prince of the O' and 'Still Want More'. Notably, other OFB members have faced serious legal consequences. Kemani Duggan, known as Bandokay, is currently serving a five-year sentence for firearms offenses. Jayden O'Neill-Crichlow, alias SJ, received a life sentence with a minimum term of 19 years for murder, following a reduction from an initial 21-year minimum in 2021.

The convergence of Boakye's criminal past, his status as a recording artist, and his current fugitive status adds a complex layer to this ongoing police investigation. The Metropolitan Police continue their search, stressing the importance of public vigilance and immediate reporting through the designated emergency channels.
