Drill Rapper Daniel Boakye Escapes Police Custody During Hospital Visit

Police have launched a massive manhunt for an 'extremely dangerous' drill rapper who managed to escape from prison custody during a hospital visit in west London. Daniel Boakye, 21, fled from HMP Feltham after being taken to West Middlesex Hospital under escort in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Gang Links and Criminal History

Boakye has known links to north London gangs and was serving a six-year sentence imposed in 2023 for conspiracy to commit robbery and an additional robbery offence. He is understood to have connections to the London gang OFB – Original Farm Boys – which operates from the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham.

Between June 2021 and January 2022, Boakye and three other teenagers participated in a series of robberies and attempted robberies across London and Essex. Armed with knives, they forced victims to surrender their mobile phones and provide passcodes to unlock them.

The group then transferred victims' cryptocurrency into 'hot wallets,' stealing more than £115,000 in total. They also used stored bank details to purchase top-up cards, pay for taxi fares, and complete other fraudulent transactions.

Escape Details and Investigation

A prison source revealed to The Sun: 'This is a huge cock-up and a massive embarrassment to the prison service. Although he is only in for robbery, Boakye is extremely dangerous and has links to serious gang members.'

The source added: 'He would have been double-cuffed – ie cuffed to a guard – at all times and the fear is that an officer has made a mistake and un-cuffed him for some reason. Everyone at Feltham is really shocked and all the staff were told about it on email at 8am.'

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed: 'Shortly after 03:30hrs on Tuesday, 10 February, the Met was informed by the Prison Service that a prisoner had escaped custody while under the care of prison staff at a west London hospital. The prisoner is a 21-year-old man. While the investigation proceeds at pace, we will not be able to provide further details. Officers are carrying out urgent enquiries in an effort to locate him and return him to custody.'

Musical Persona and Public Alert

Boakye performs drill rap under the name Dsavv and is best known for songs such as 'No Kiddin' and 'Pocket Rocket.' The Prison Service stated: 'We are urgently working with the Metropolitan Police to recapture this prisoner and investigating how he was able to escape from hospital.'

Police have warned that Boakye presents a significant danger to the public due to his gang affiliations and violent criminal history. The escape has raised serious questions about prison security protocols during external medical visits.
