Tributes for 'Incredible' Charity Worker After Swindon Death
The community in Swindon is in mourning after the death of Sarah Forrester, a dedicated mental health charity worker in her 50s, who was described as an incredible person by colleagues and friends.
Police were called to an address in the Wiltshire town on Friday evening, where Ms Forrester was pronounced dead. The incident has led to a murder investigation, with authorities confirming a 13-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Community and Colleagues Remember a 'Kind Soul'
The mental health charity where Ms Forrester worked, The Kelly Foundation, released a heartfelt statement expressing their devastation. They said everyone was heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah.
The charity's tribute highlighted her unwavering commitment, describing her as pivotal in the work that we do. They remembered Sarah as a kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring, and funny individual who embodied the charity's values. The statement also emphasised her devotion to her two young children, stating her loss is a hugely traumatic event for them and her family.
Friends and neighbours also shared their grief. Kerry Marsh, a neighbour and friend of seven years, told Sky News that Sarah was a kind soul who would help anyone and a great mum.
Stuart Gould, a friend who saw her just hours before her death, recounted visiting her on Friday lunchtime to give her a box of Maltesers. He described her as a beautiful, enthusiastic woman who put herself before others, noting she was actively helping two other ladies that very afternoon.
Police Investigation and Public Appeal
In a significant development, the 13-year-old girl arrested in connection with the death has been bailed while police enquiries continue.
Wiltshire Police have moved to reassure the public, stating there is no wider risk to the community and that officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
The police force has also issued a direct appeal, asking people not to speculate about the incident online. They warned that such speculation could potentially prejudice the ongoing case.
