A man has been taken to hospital with knife injuries following a violent robbery on a major West London street, with the Metropolitan Police confirming the suspect remains at large.
Attack on Busy High Street
The incident occurred on Brentford High Street in Hounslow on the evening of Thursday, 15 January. Emergency services were alerted shortly before 10.40pm after reports of a stabbing during a robbery.
London Ambulance Service dispatched multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, and an incident response officer. The victim was treated at the location before being transported to a major trauma centre for further care.
Police Investigation Underway
In a statement issued this afternoon, the Metropolitan Police provided an update on the victim's condition, confirming it is neither life-threatening nor life-changing. Despite this, the attack was serious, leaving the man with several injuries.
Officers have not made any arrests in connection with the robbery and assault. Detectives are conducting urgent enquiries to identify a suspect and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A large police cordon was established around a bus stop near the junction with Half Acre overnight, as seen in footage from the scene. This cordon has since been removed.
Appeal for Witnesses
The Metropolitan Police are urging anyone with information to assist their investigation. A spokesperson said: "Around 23:00hrs on Thursday, 15 January, officers attended Brentford High Street after reports of a robbery. The victim was found at the scene suffering from knife injuries."
They added: "No arrests have been made, and police are making urgent enquiries."
