Capri-Sun recalls orange drink packs mislabelled as sugar-free

Capri-Sun UK is recalling specific batches of its orange drink after they were incorrectly labelled as sugar-free. The affected products are Capri-Sun Orange 10x200ml multipacks sold in Northern Ireland, which were labelled as Capri-Sun Orange Zero despite containing sugar.

Affected batches and refund details

The recall applies to batches with codes L104, L105 and L106, with a best before date of April 1, 2027. In a consumer notice shared by the Food Standards Agency, Capri-Sun UK's managing director Matthew Done said: "If you have purchased a 10pk Capri-Sun Orange with one of the above batch numbers and a best before date of April 2027, do not consume the product if you are a consumer who is dependent on sugar content (including those with type 2 diabetes)."

Customers who have bought an affected product are advised to return it to the retailer for a full refund. No receipt is required for the return.

Impact on consumers

The mislabelling poses a particular risk to individuals who rely on accurate sugar content information, such as those with type 2 diabetes. Capri-Sun has urged affected consumers not to consume the product if they need to monitor sugar intake.
