Antiques Roadshow star Theo Burrell has died at the age of 39 following a battle with brain cancer, her husband Alex confirmed via social media. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 8, just months after marrying Alex in an intimate ceremony in Edinburgh in March 2026.
Diagnosis and treatment
Burrell was initially diagnosed in 2021 after experiencing severe migraines. A scan revealed a glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor. Doctors initially gave her just three months to live, but she underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, achieving stable condition for a time. In October 2024, she announced the tumor had begun growing again.
Final months and legacy
Despite the grim prognosis, Burrell celebrated milestones including her son's first day at school and her wedding. Her husband wrote: 'Neither she nor her medical team foresaw this happening quite so quickly. She was an incredible person who fought hard for her family, friends and raising awareness of this cruel disease.' Burrell spent her last hours with family before passing away.
