Supply Teacher Prohibited from Profession After OnlyFans 'Granny Headteacher' Profile Revealed
A supply teacher who was discovered to be operating an adult content profile on OnlyFans under the moniker 'granny schoolteacher' has been officially banned from the teaching profession, according to a recent tribunal ruling.
Discovery at Primary School Leads to Investigation
Lyndi Corston, aged 61, was exposed after a colleague at Rye Community Primary School in Sussex noticed a push notification from the subscription-based platform on her mobile phone in September 2024. Corston was employed as agency staff through Engage Education, a London-based organisation, at the time of the incident.
Initially, Corston maintained that her OnlyFans account solely featured nudity without any explicit sexual acts and claimed it was not registered under her real name. Following this revelation, she was permitted to retain her position after agreeing to deactivate the account and sign an enhanced code of conduct.
Further Evidence of Explicit Content Emerges
Subsequently, Engage Education uncovered that Corston had been identified performing full sexual intercourse in pornographic videos on a separate adult website, also under the title 'granny schoolteacher'. This discovery prompted a formal referral to the Teaching Regulation Agency for further scrutiny.
During the tribunal proceedings, Corston fully admitted to the facts presented and acknowledged that her conduct was unprofessional. The panel emphasised that while educators are entitled to a private life, there are clear boundaries within professional regulation, particularly when the teaching profession itself becomes a central feature of the adult content.
Tribunal Findings on Public Confidence and Professional Standards
The tribunal panel articulated their reasoning in a detailed statement, noting: "She was plainly at risk of being recognised, which happened, and that in turn brings public confidence into consideration. She chose to be depicted in the manner she was and willingly participated in a publicly accessible pornographic video and a personal OnlyFans account. She was in a position of responsibility as a teacher and members of the public rightly expect teachers to set a good example."
They further elaborated: "Whilst conduct outside of the education setting, this was conduct that linked to the way she fulfilled her teaching role and could, potentially, have led to pupils being exposed to, or influenced by, the behaviour in a harmful way."
Insight and Future Review Period Granted
The tribunal report indicated that there was some evidence of insight from Corston, who now recognises and accepts that her behaviour was inappropriate. However, the panel highlighted that when initially confronted about her OnlyFans account, her response suggested she did not necessarily regret her choices and referenced her right to a private life outside of teaching duties.
After considering the reasons behind Corston's decision to engage in this work, which were redacted from the public ruling, the panel decided to impose a two-year review period. This means that Corston may potentially return to teaching in the future, with the earliest review date set for January 2028.
