Christine McGuinness, the former wife of TV legend Paddy McGuinness, has reportedly been getting cosy with a former Strictly Come Dancing star. The model and TV personality declared herself as a ‘five-star lesbian’ earlier this week on a podcast. She was chatting away with I Kissed A Boy/Girl royalty, Gareth Valentino and Amy Spalding, when she revealed she would ‘love to have a wife one day’.
It seems the 38-year-old could be one step closer, as she was seen looking ‘inseparable’ with Olympic champion Nicola Adams, 43. According to the Daily Mail, the pair ‘looked like they were a couple’ at the DIVA Awards 2026.

The special event ‘celebrates LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people who are trailblazers across entertainment, politics, business and more.’ According to an attendee, Nicola and Christine appeared to be joined at the hip during the awards. Although they haven’t publicly commented on the situation, both women follow each other on Instagram. A representative for Nicola told the Daily Mail: ‘We don’t feel the need to make a comment at this time.’
Christine and Nicola’s Relationship Status
Christine and Nicola are both single, having split from their partners and the parents of their children. In 2022, after 11 years of marriage, Christine separated from Paddy. But they still live together. Speaking on the It Started With A Kiss Podcast, hosted by the BBC alum, Christine spoke about the unconventional set-up she shares with her ex, which sees them living under the same roof up north. She admitted living a ‘double life’ – one being about family, and the other about dating: ‘My family, my kids, my home is up there and then I come to London… I can work, have fun… and I don’t need to worry about everything.’
The mum-of-three also said she had ‘spent time with a lot of women in sport’ when asked by Amy about dating people in the public eye. Nicola is also not in a relationship, after she split from her partner of seven years, Ella Baig, last year. They share a son, Taylor Nate, who was born by IVF in July 2022.
Nicola Adams’ Previous Relationship
After trying to continue as a couple, and doing ‘important therapy work’, they decided to separate, but still remain committed to co-parenting Taylor. In an interview with The Sun, Nicola admitted that her girlfriend’s career as an OnlyFans model ‘had an impact on our relationship’. Nicola said as much as she respected what Ella did, she couldn’t deny the effect it had on them. A close friend of Nicola’s also told the Daily Mail: ‘Nicola and Christine will make a good match as they’re both getting over long-term relationships and have children.’
