The official lineup for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors has been confirmed by the BBC, featuring a star-studded cast including Oscar-winner Richard E Grant, acclaimed actor Michael Sheen, and The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey. The hit reality gameshow, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, returns to screens with 21 celebrities heading to a castle in the Highlands to compete for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for charity.
Star-Studded Cast
Given the game's theme of murderous treachery, Shakespearean actors in the cast are well-suited. Richard E Grant, Michael Sheen, and Bella Ramsey all have experience with the Bard's works. Other notable contestants include Industry star Myha'la, comedian Miranda Hart, and Love Island host Maya Jama. Actor and model Jerry Hall, former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and singer-songwriter James Blunt will also compete.
Comedians and More
A number of comedians join the second series, including James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, and Joanne McNally. Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh, broadcaster Amol Rajan, and actor Sharon Rooney are also part of the lineup. Broadcaster and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry, content creator King Kenny, and actor Sebastian Croft complete the roster.
First Series Success
The first celebrity series, won by comedian Alan Carr who outwitted Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, and Nick Mohammed, attracted massive viewership. The finale peaked at 15.4 million viewers, with an average audience of 14.9 million across its run—the biggest TV audience of 2025. More than half of viewers aged 16 to 24 watched every episode as it aired.
Expanding the Franchise
Since debuting in 2022, The Traitors has dominated UK screens, spawning a two-hour immersive experience, board game, card game, and branded hooded cloaks. A stage adaptation is set to open in London in 2027, described as a “bold and surprising” theatrical experience by producers Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions.
