Global K-pop phenomenon BTS has officially announced their monumental return to the stage, unveiling plans for a sprawling world tour set to take place across 2026 and 2027. The tour will bring the iconic septet to Australian shores, with major concerts confirmed for both Melbourne and Sydney.
The Long-Awaited Comeback After Military Service
The announcement marks the end of a nearly four-year hiatus for the group, a period during which all seven members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook – fulfilled South Korea's mandatory military service requirements. The group's management company, BigHit Music, recently confirmed their official return to music is scheduled for 20 March 2026.
Rapper Suga was the final member to complete his service, being discharged from his role as a social service agent in June 2025. The other six members all served in the military. This tour, titled simply as the BTS World Tour, represents their first headline concert series since the 'Permission to Dance on Stage' tour concluded in 2022.
Extensive Tour Schedule and Ticket Information
The ambitious tour will kick off in the group's home country, with concerts in Goyang, South Korea, on 9, 11, and 12 April 2026. It will then traverse the globe with over 70 dates across Asia, North and South America, Europe, and finally, Australia.
The Australian leg is scheduled for 2027, with performances at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium on 12 and 13 February 2027, followed by shows at Sydney's Accor Stadium on 20 and 21 February 2027.
A dedicated presale for official fanclub members (ARMY Membership holders) will occur on 22 and 23 January 2026. Fans must register on the Weverse platform, owned by BTS's parent company Hybe, to participate. The general sale for all regions will then open on 24 January 2026.
