Urgent Food Safety Alert Issued for Christmas Products
The Food Standards Agency has issued an urgent warning concerning three Christmas food products that have been immediately removed from sale. Customers are being strongly advised not to consume these items if they have a tree nut allergy due to potentially life-threatening risks.
Affected Products and Recall Details
Flapjackery, a Devon-based business, is recalling all products containing its Mince Pie Crumble Flapjack because they contain almonds that are not declared on the product labelling. This oversight poses a serious health risk to individuals with tree nut allergies.
The specific products involved in this recall include:
- Flapjackery Mince Pie Crumble Flapjack (170g)
- Flapjackery Christmas Towers box (6x85g)
- Flapjackery Rudolph box (6x170g)
All affected products carry a best-before date of March 2026 and were available for purchase between November 1 and November 19, 2025. The company confirms these items were not on sale prior to November 1.
Immediate Action Required
Customers who have purchased any of these products and have an allergy to almonds or other tree nuts are urged not to consume them under any circumstances. Instead, they should return the items to the store where they were purchased to receive a full refund.
For further information or assistance, customers can contact Flapjackery directly via email at hello@flapjackery.co.uk or by calling customer services on 01822 258008.
Flapjackery operates 16 stores across the South West of England and also provides nationwide delivery of their flapjack products and gift boxes. This recall comes shortly after Sainsbury's recent chicken product recall, highlighting ongoing food safety concerns as the Christmas shopping period intensifies.
