Despite Jasmine's confession, she has consistently maintained that the act was in self-defence. This claim gains significant traction when crucial video footage from her missing mobile phone surfaces, providing potential proof to support her version of events. With the phone now recovered and submitted to police, the case proceeds to trial, introducing this pivotal new evidence.
However, actress Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness reveals that her character remains apprehensive. "She knows the truth about what happened and hopes others will believe her, but past experiences have taught her to be wary of hope," Donaldson-Holness explains. Jasmine is bracing herself for the worst-case scenario, fearing the outcome regardless of the evidence.

Jasmine's lawyer, Ritchie Scott, played by Sian Webber, shares these concerns, particularly regarding the impact of a statement from Anthony's father, Patrick Trueman, portrayed by Rudolph Walker. "Sandra and Josh will have their own memories and opinions about what happened, which worries Jasmine as she has no idea what they'll be saying back in Walford," Donaldson-Holness adds. "Their words could seriously damage her relationships with both sides of her family."
