London's Weekly Guide to Cultural Celebrations and Dining Experiences

Welcome to your exclusive weekly guide to London's most exciting events, where we bring you trusted reviews, special previews, and amazing deals across the capital. As spring approaches, London's cultural calendar heats up with two major celebrations taking center stage this week.

Celebrating Holi with Vibrant Flavors at Cinnamon Bazaar

The Hindu festival of colors inspires a spectacular dining experience at Cinnamon Bazaar, where Chef Vivek Singh has crafted a beautifully balanced menu celebrating traditional Indian bazaars and home cooking. The four-course Holi menu begins with refined street food classics including Samosa Chaat and Hakka aubergine stir-fry, featuring meltingly soft aubergine with crunchy peanuts and layered spices.

Morasabadi Dal Chaat with tamarind sorbet provides a refreshing palate cleanser before the showstopper arrives: Duck Nilgiri Korma with turmeric and lemon rice. This exceptional dish features exceptionally tender duck coated in a silky coconut and poppy seed sauce that delivers ultimate comfort. The meal concludes with a choice between delicate rose and almond kulfi or indulgent Rasamalai tres leches cake.

Available at both Richmond and Covent Garden locations, this four-course experience costs £35 per person including a cocktail, with a minimum of two people required.

International Women's Day Celebrations Across London

London honors the special women in our lives with numerous International Women's Day events running from March 5th through 8th. These celebrations recognize everyone from cousins and work besties to aunties and chosen family members.

KERB Francis Road's Female-Focused Market

KERB returns with its annual spotlight on talented female traders at their Francis Road location in Leyton. This vibrant market showcases mother-and-daughter duo Banzai Kitchen serving ultra-crispy karaage, alongside Syrian entrepreneur Hind Danoun presenting Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine. After enjoying these diverse flavors, visitors can explore Francis Road's permanent women-owned businesses including Phlox Books, a charming bookshop-café combination.

Cavita's Trailblazing Chef Collaboration Lunch

Five international female culinary leaders – Adriana Cavita, Maria Bradford, Ayesha Kalaji, Keshia Sakarah, and Sabrina Gidda – unite for a one-off International Women's Day lunch featuring dishes like Caribbean snapper ceviche and Indian-spiced chickpea and potato chaat. The event includes a live Q&A session where chefs will share their professional journeys, cultural influences, and insights into building careers in the UK. All profits support Refuge, helping women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Tickets cost £80 and include five courses plus a welcome drink on March 8th from 12:30pm to 4:00pm at Cavita's Wigmore Street location.

Borough Yards' Free Interactive Mirror Wall Installation

Londoners can participate in a meaningful tribute without spending money at Borough Yards' free interactive mirror wall installation. From March 5th through 8th, visitors are invited to write messages honoring women who have shaped their lives – whether mothers, cousins, best friends, or chosen family members. The installation will transform into a beautiful mural of tributes at London Bridge, with the first 50 participants receiving complimentary treats from After School Cookie Club and Santa Nata.

Additional International Women's Day Experiences

AllBright hosts its sixth Step Forward Summit on March 6th, featuring discussions about women's wealth, financial empowerment, and confidence with speakers including Jill Scott MBE. Meanwhile, the Affordable Art Fair presents an International Women's Day exhibition from March 4th through 8th, showcasing works by 22 contemporary women artists exploring themes of female relationships, womanhood, and togetherness.
