London Open Gardens is back for 2026, offering a rare glimpse into over 120 normally private green spaces across the city. The event takes place on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, with adult weekend tickets priced at £26.15 and tickets for ages 12 to 17 at £11.31. Children under 12 enter for free, making it an ideal family outing.
New Gardens to Explore
This year introduces several enchanting new gardens, including The Floating Garden in King's Cross, situated on a barge along Regent's Canal. The 1900s-era Cranworth Gardens behind Brixton Road in Lambeth will open for the first time, and Bethnal Green Nature Reserve will welcome visitors on Saturday only.
Returning Favorites
Over 100 beloved gardens are back, such as The Brunel Museum's private oasis in Rotherhithe and Kensington Square Gardens, among many others.
Ballot-Only Access for Popular Gardens
Due to overwhelming popularity, some gardens now require a ballot for entry. The iconic Battersea Roof Gardens, perched atop Battersea Power Station, is one such gem. Ticket-holders can enter a ballot until Saturday, May 23, with winners randomly selected and offered visiting slots.
Even more exclusive, a now-closed ballot was held last week for the Prime Minister's private garden at Downing Street, offering two private tours of just 24 spaces on Saturday, June 6.
London Open Gardens runs on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7. For tickets and more information, visit the official website.
