Canary Wharf's free open air cinema is set to return this summer, offering a diverse lineup of films and live sports screenings. Running from June 4 to September 1, visitors can enjoy blockbusters such as Wicked: For Good, Barbie, Mamma Mia, and Superman, alongside family favourites like Wall-E and Matilda the Musical.
Film Screenings and Schedule
Evening screenings will take place at 7pm on most Tuesdays, while family films are scheduled for 10:30am on selected Tuesdays and Saturdays. The large screen in Canada Park Square will also provide daily coverage of the Wimbledon tennis championships from June 29 to July 12, as well as England cricket test matches against New Zealand and Pakistan.
Notably, no World Cup games will be shown during June and July. The annual Canary Wharf Mario Kart Championship will also return, with heats taking place across June, July, and August. The winner will receive prizes from local shops, bars, and restaurants. Additionally, four family music quizzes will be held in June and August, testing attendees on indie hits, old school R&B, and chart classics.
