Nigel Farage's income since being elected MP has hit £2 million, according to analysis. The Reform UK leader has brought in the sum through speeches, presenting, writing news articles, promoting gold bullion, and recording Cameo clips.
This is on top of his annual salary as MP for Clacton of nearly £100,000 and a forthcoming EU pension of about £73,000 a year. However, his personal income is dwarfed by a £5 million gift from mega-donor Christopher Harborne, which Farage says is for security purposes.
Travel and Hospitality
Farage travels with a large entourage of security operatives and frequently uses helicopters. He has enjoyed hospitality and trips worth over £250,000 since entering parliament, including tickets to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the World Economic Forum at Davos.
Property Portfolio
Farage's property assets have expanded to at least four properties, including a family home in Kent, two coastal homes in Kent, and a rental property in Surrey. His partner, Laure Ferrari, owns a house in his Clacton constituency.
Company Assets
His company, Thorn in the Side, holds assets valued at £3.1 million, including cash and property. It also owns a commercial fishing boat operated by one of his sons.
Other Income Sources
Farage earns about £50,000 a year from a Daily Telegraph column and £400,000 a year from GB News. He also promoted gold bullion for Direct Bullion, earning at least £400,000, and invested £215,000 in a crypto venture called Stack BTC.
Farage has faced criticism for failing to declare income on time, apologizing for 17 breaches of the MPs' code of conduct. The scrutiny is likely to increase as his party leads in the polls.
