Skate at Somerset House 2026: tickets, dates, prices

Skate at Somerset House, one of London's most picturesque pop-up ice rinks, will return for the 2026 season, opening on November 11 and running until January 10. Presale tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday September 25, with general ticket sale dates yet to be announced. Adult tickets are priced between £15 and £28.50 depending on peak or off-peak sessions, while children's tickets cost £11.

Presale access and ticket details

To secure early access to tickets, skaters must sign up before September 25. The presale window opens at 10am on that Friday, offering the first opportunity to book slots at the rink, which is set in the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court at Somerset House. Given the rink's popularity, tickets are expected to sell quickly, as in previous years.

The rink has become a staple of London's Christmas calendar, known not only for its scenic setting but also for its late-night skate sessions featuring DJs and party collectives. For those who prefer daytime visits, a Skate School for adults and teens is available to help build confidence on the ice, alongside a Kids' Club for children aged six to 12.

Skate Lates lineup and special events

Skate Lates returns this year with a diverse lineup of DJs and collectives, including South Asian creative collective Daytimers, indie community radio Netil Radio, youth culture platform Gauchoworld, QTIPOC-led bass collective BUMPAH, and Latinx queer party organisers 2CPERREA. A special K-Pop party is scheduled for November 23 in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre, featuring music from BTS, BLACKPINK, and emerging artists from the region.

In addition to skating, the venue will host dedicated sessions for wheelchair users and reduced-capacity relaxed sessions, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of visitors. Shelter will operate a boutique pop-up next to the rink, offering brands such as AllSaints and Nobody's Child. The Chalet will provide food and drink options, and ticket holders will gain access to exhibitions at Somerset House after their skate sessions.

Booking and additional offerings

As the festive season approaches, those interested in attending are advised to prepare for the presale on September 25. While the general sale date has not been confirmed, signing up for presale access is the best way to secure tickets early. The rink's combination of scenic beauty, late-night events, and family-friendly sessions makes it a key attraction for London's winter season.
