Barcelona lifted the Women's Champions League trophy after a dominant 4-0 victory over Lyonnes in the final at Ullevaal Stadion. Salma Paralluelo's late double capped the win, but it was Ewa Pajor who stole the show with two goals, shrugging off past final losses to secure her first European title.
Pajor Breaks the Deadlock
After a tense first half where Lyonnes had more possession and created chances, Barcelona took the lead against the run of play. Patricia Guijarro found Pajor, whose neat first touch took her away from defender Ingrid Engen before she fired low past Christiane Endler into the far corner. Pajor's roar of celebration echoed around the stadium as she broke the deadlock.
Lyonnes' Missed Opportunities
Lyonnes had gone close earlier, with a free-kick headed by Wendie Renard saved by Cata Coll, and Lindsey Heaps' follow-up ruled out for offside after a VAR check. Ada Hegerberg also wasted a one-on-one chance early in the second half, hesitating long enough for Coll to block. These misses proved costly as Barcelona punished their profligacy.
Pajor's Second and Paralluelo's Double
Pajor's second came 14 minutes later when Paralluelo kept the ball in after a low cross and cut it back for Pajor to thunder home from close range. In the 90th minute, Paralluelo fired into the top corner from the edge of the box, and then clipped the ball in after Pajor selflessly squared to her in the 93rd minute, making it 4-0.
A Historic Victory for Barcelona
This was Barcelona's fourth Champions League title in six years, and a big moment for manager Pere Romeu, who stepped out of the shadow of his predecessor Jonatan Giráldez, now Lyonnes' head coach. Barcelona were clinical and cutting when Lyonnes were not, deservedly claiming the trophy in style.
