86 London Greene King pubs open for England vs Mexico

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has intervened to allow pubs across England to stay open until 5am on Monday for England's World Cup match against Mexico. The decision comes after England's dramatic late victory over DR Congo confirmed they will face co-hosts Mexico at 1am UK time.

Greene King, which operates 2,600 pubs, restaurants and hotels across the UK, confirmed that over 600 pubs in England will stay open late to show the match. In London, 86 Greene King pubs will open for kick-off and remain open until the final whistle, including extra time and penalties if needed.

Andrew Gallagher, Brand and Marketing Director at Greene King, said: "We’re delighted to have been granted permission to stay open late as England progress through the tournament. There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere in our pubs and it gives fans the chance to come together, soak up the occasion and hopefully celebrate! We know this will be a popular match, so urge guests to secure their spot as soon as possible."
