A local business owner in Stonebridge, Brent, has declared he no longer feels safe working in the neighbourhood following a fatal shooting that has left the killer on the loose.
Fatal Incident Sparks Fear
The shocking incident occurred on Friday, December 19, 2025, on West End Close. A 55-year-old man was gunned down, prompting a major murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police. As of the latest updates, there have been no arrests, and the suspect remains at large.

"I Feel Very Unsafe": A Local's Damning Verdict
A 67-year-old local worker, who wished to remain anonymous, gave a stark account of the deteriorating situation to MyLondon. Having served in the police for seven years, he said the area "doesn't feel safe anymore".
He described gangs of masked shoplifters roaming the streets and revealed the extreme measures he has been forced to take for his own protection. “For the first time in seven years I have installed cameras. I have a pick handle next to my till in case someone comes in with knives,” he explained.
His fear extends beyond his workplace. “I feel unsafe going to and leaving work. It's everyday there are things going on,” he said, citing an incident on the night of the shooting where a gang rode into a local chicken shop on electric bikes.
Police Appeal and Community Reassurance
DCI Neil John acknowledged the concern the incident would cause but sought to reassure the public. “We have increased patrols in the area. I’d like to reassure the public that our investigation remains a priority,” he said.
He issued a direct appeal for information, urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant footage to come forward. “We also believe there was a large group of people congregated nearby at the time the incident happened, and we are keen to hear from them.”
The police have asked anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting CAD 8120/19DEC25. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 111 555.
