The Guardian has issued corrections for several articles published on 29 August and 5 September, addressing factual errors in food and drink coverage, a novel title, and a geographical mislocation in a Netflix series.
Canned cocktails brand correction
An article titled “Canned cocktails for grown-ups” (29 August, Feast, p17) incorrectly identified The Served range of canned cocktails as a Marks & Spencer (M&S) brand. The article also stated the products are available in M&S stores. Both claims are inaccurate. Additionally, an accompanying image of M&S’s own brand mojito was used in error.
Novel title and Netflix setting errors
In a separate correction, the novel by Ocean Vuong was misidentified. The correct title is The Emperor of Gladness, not The Emperor of Sadness as stated in an article on 5 September (Different class, Saturday magazine, p41).
Another correction concerns Netflix’s The Perfect Lie. An article (Streaming, 5 September, What’s On, p6) incorrectly stated that Karen and her family move to Bergen in Norway. In fact, they move to Bergen in North Holland in the Netherlands.
