A woman found dead in southeast London has been named by police as a man has been charged with her murder.
The deceased, 47-year-old Barbara McCann, was found at an address in Lewisham on Tuesday, June 9.
Officers responded to concerns for the welfare of a woman inside a property on Catford Hill at 11.35am. Metropolitan Police said Barbara was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday, police arrested a man in relation to her death.
"In the days following her death, enquiries led police to Hillingdon, west London, where officers arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Thursday, 11 June," Met Police said in a statement.
Derek Bradshaw was charged on Monday, 15 June and will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 16 June.
"Our thoughts remain with Barbara's family at this unimaginably difficult time," Detective Chief Inspector Mark Franklin, leading the investigation, said.
He asked anyone with information to contact police as a matter of urgency.
"If you have any information about Barbara's death, no matter how small, please assist our investigation by contacting us as a matter of urgency."
