Vogue Williams is reportedly feeling hurt after Jamie Laing brought up her ex-husband Brian McFadden during a podcast interview. The Irish television presenter reflected on the collapse of her marriage while appearing on Jamie's Great Company podcast in May, describing the experience as embarrassing and humiliating.

During the interview, Williams stated: 'It's really embarrassing. It's quite humiliating because you know people have started speculating and people started talking about it and you're hearing it, you know it's true and you're trying to not let it out.' She also mentioned that the couple released what she called a 'cringy statement' regarding their split.
Williams admitted feeling like a 'failure' at the time, as many around her had anticipated the divorce. A source close to the star claimed she felt blindsided by Laing's decision to bring up the subject of her ex, describing the incident as 'awkward and embarrassing for her.'
Source's Account
Speaking to The Sun, the source elaborated: 'She was too young and impressionable and got swept away by Brian and his boyband fame and their marriage was a disaster. Bringing up Brian takes her back to a place she would rather forget.'
The source added: 'She sees it as a mistake she'd rather leave in the past so she was quite upset when Jamie mentioned his name like he was still part of her life – it was a bit of a low blow actually and left her wondering why he did that when he knew how it would make her feel.'
Background of the Relationship
Vogue Williams rose to fame on the 2010 reality series Fade Street. She met Westlife star Brian McFadden at a nightclub in 2011, and they married the following year. Their marriage lasted three years, with the couple announcing their split in 2015 via matching social media posts on Twitter.
In her announcement, Williams wrote: 'It is with sadness that Brian and I have made the tough decision to go our separate ways. We will always care greatly about each other, remain friends and wish each other all the very best for the future.' The divorce was finalized in 2017.
McFadden's Perspective
Reflecting on the marriage in 2018, McFadden said: 'I don't speak to Vogue any more either. It's pointless. She's married now and is having a baby.' He described her husband Spencer Matthews as a 'great guy' and expressed happiness for her.
In her 2025 autobiography, Williams maintained that the marriage was a mistake but acknowledged they had good times. She wrote: 'The relationship wasn't all terrible, we did have some great times too, and for the most part he was good fun to be around. But he was not husband material.' She added: 'It was me who called it in the end. I couldn't keep trying, it felt pointless… I'm not here to throw anyone under the bus but there are things that went on in our relationship that will never be forgiven.'
Current Lives
Brian McFadden is now married to PE teacher Danielle Parkinson, with whom he has been since 2016. The couple, who welcomed daughter Ruby in 2021, married in July 2025. McFadden also shares two daughters, Molly and Lily-Sue, from his marriage to Kerry Katona.
Vogue Williams met Spencer Matthews in 2017 while competing on the Channel 4 sports reality show The Jump. Despite an injury forcing her withdrawal, the pair kept in touch and confirmed their romance soon after. They married in June 2018 and welcomed their first child, Theodore Frederick Michael, in September 2018. Daughter Gigi Margaux arrived in 2020, followed by son Otto James in 2022.
Fourth Child on the Way
In April 2025, the couple announced they are expecting their fourth child. Williams warned on her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me that they have a 'mad' baby name in mind. 'I'm just going to warn everyone, the name we love is f***ed. It's mad,' she said. Co-host Joanne McNally described it as 'the heaviest hitter yet' among the names chosen so far.
