Two men have been hospitalised and arrested following a stabbing incident on a residential street in Notting Hill yesterday evening (May 27). The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the pair, aged 27 and 30, remain in custody on suspicion of affray.
Incident Details
Officers were called to Silchester Road, opposite Kensington Leisure Centre, at approximately 6:45 PM after multiple reports to 999. Paramedics treated the two injured suspects at the scene before transporting them to hospital. The police have stated that their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, and both men have since been discharged.
A long trail of blood was observed leading to a building on the street, according to witnesses. The London Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 6:47 PM on Wednesday 27 May to reports of a stabbing on Bomore Road, W11. We sent resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a clinical team manager. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two patients at the scene and took them to hospital."
Investigation Underway
An investigation into the circumstances is currently underway, and police are urging witnesses to come forward to assist with ongoing enquiries. Officers sealed off the adjacent Clarendon Road while the scene was secured.
This stabbing occurred less than 24 hours after a separate incident where a man was knifed in front of shocked diners on Portobello Road.
