The ongoing paternity drama surrounding reality television star Charlotte Chilton has taken another dramatic turn after her Traitors co-star Jonny Holloway publicly confirmed they had sexual relations, directly contradicting her previous denials.
The Paternity Dispute Escalates
Former soldier Jonny Holloway, 33, has stunned fans by admitting he slept with Charlotte Chilton following a drunken night out in March 2023, throwing the already chaotic paternity saga into complete disarray. The revelation comes amid an increasingly public dispute between Charlotte, 32, and singer Conor Maynard, also 32, regarding the parentage of her daughter Penelope, born in October 2024.
Charlotte had previously announced Conor as the father before giving birth, explaining they had been introduced by fellow Traitors castmate Harry Clark, whose girlfriend is Conor's younger sister Anna. However, in March 2025, Conor revealed that a paternity test confirmed he was not Penelope's father, with a second test taken in August reinforcing this conclusion.
Jonny's Shocking Confession
Jonny told the Daily Mail: "If I was the father I would step up and take that child as my own. Relations took place on a drunken night out. I was heavily intoxicated at the time. I've asked for a DNA test several times but have been ignored."
According to Holloway's account, the pair ended up together after people returned to his house following a night out in March 2023. "I know things took place, and I understand she was sober," he revealed. "I wasn't quite with it, so I don't know exactly how it went, but I know something happened between us."
The former soldier claims Charlotte initially agreed to DNA testing when he suggested it, only to stop responding when he tried to arrange the procedure. "I said to Charlotte, 'Look we both know what happened here. Should we do a DNA test because of what has happened?' She originally said 'yes'. When it came to me setting it up, I haven't heard back from her since," Holloway explained.
Conflicting Accounts and Public Fallout
Charlotte has repeatedly denied ever sleeping with Jonny, telling The Sun: "There's never been anything romantic with Jonny. We've had a friendship, but there's never been a relationship between me and Jonny. We weren't sleeping together in January at all. It never happened."
The situation intensified when Conor Maynard posted a video sharing a message he claims came from Jonny's ex-wife, stating that Jonny had slept with Charlotte around the same time Conor did. The message read: "He told me he slept with Charlotte around the same time as yourself [Conor] / she fell pregnant."
In his video, Conor told fans: "While it's not 100% [Jonny], it is 100% not me." The singer's brother, Jack Maynard - a former I'm A Celebrity contestant - further fuelled the controversy by commenting on a TikTok about the situation, claiming: "She knows for a fact there is somebody else... just like we do."
Charlotte has accused Conor of trying to "discredit and distract" from their ongoing dispute and revealed she received a cease-and-desist letter from him earlier this year. She maintains that Jonny only offered to take a paternity test when rumours first began and insists she has been wrongly dragged into speculation about other men.
Mental Strain and Unanswered Questions
Jonny says the situation has left him feeling mentally strained but insists he simply wants clarity for the child's sake. The pair became close friends during filming of The Traitors, both playing as Faithfuls before being voted out ahead of the finale. Fans had always assumed their bond was strictly platonic - until these recent revelations.
With Jonny now publicly contradicting Charlotte's account and insisting a DNA test is necessary, the mystery of Penelope's father has only deepened. Unless that crucial DNA test finally happens, the truth behind the night Jonny says they slept together is likely to remain a very public question mark, leaving all parties involved - and the public - waiting for resolution.
