Ealing crash: man charged with attempted murder after 5 hurt

Timir Ahmed Mohamed, 34, has been charged with five counts of attempted murder after a car struck pedestrians on a busy London road before allegedly fleeing the scene. The incident occurred on Ealing Broadway in Ealing, west London, at approximately 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Five injured, three hospitalized

Five people were injured in the crash, with three taken to hospital. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that none of the injuries were life-threatening or life-changing. Two individuals who were not transported to hospital received treatment at the scene.

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) London conducted initial inquiries but determined that the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related.

Additional charges

In addition to attempted murder, Mohamed, who is Somalia-born and from Grange Park, Ealing, faces charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, and criminal damage. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 29.

Emergency response

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a number of resources including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, a volunteer emergency responder crew and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated three patients at the scene and took one of them to a major trauma centre by road as a priority. The other two patients were taken to a local hospital.”
