Former Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost was reportedly injured during a home invasion at his residence in Switzerland, according to local authorities. The 71-year-old Frenchman, who won four world championships between 1985 and 1993, sustained a head injury after intruders broke into his home near Lake Geneva.

Swiss police are investigating the alleged robbery, which occurred on Tuesday morning. The Swiss tabloid Blick reported that Prost was "visibly shaken by this brutal intrusion" and has since left the property in Nyon. The public prosecutor's office confirmed that several balaclava-wearing intruders entered the residence while the occupants were present.
"The perpetrators entered the residence while the occupants were present, threatened them, and forced one family member to open a safe before fleeing with the stolen goods," the prosecutor's office said in a statement. A precise inventory of the stolen items is currently being compiled.

Authorities launched an extensive search operation, but the perpetrators have not yet been apprehended. Police did not name the victim but described the incident: "Several balaclava-wearing intruders broke into the house. Once inside, they threatened the occupants and inflicted minor head injuries upon one family member, under circumstances that remain to be established."
