David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown, known for their father-daughter roles on Stranger Things, have repeatedly spoken positively about each other in the past, despite recent reports of an alleged harassment claim. Harbour, 51, played Jim Hopper, earning two Emmy nominations, while Brown, 22, rose to fame as Eleven. The show concluded with its fifth season in 2025.
Past Praise Between Co-Stars
Brown told Empire that she and Harbour 'connected on another level,' with him always looking out for her. She added that their real-life relationship mirrored the show's dynamic. Harbour similarly expressed paternal affection, telling Esquire Spain that the young cast were 'all pretty good kids.' In 2017, he vowed to protect Brown from online abuse, saying, 'I try to protect her as much as I can,' and hoped she would bring him her Oscars when he's old.
Alleged Harassment Claim
In November 2025, reports emerged that Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim against Harbour before filming the final season. Sources said the claim included 'pages and pages' of accusations, leading Brown to have a personal representative on set. Harbour addressed the report in a Variety interview, calling it 'a weird thing' and attributing disagreements to the pressures of a long-running show. Brown echoed this, stating via email that their relationship became more collaborative over time and that she values their shared experience.
Future Collaboration
Despite the controversy, Harbour and Brown are set to reunite for a Netflix father-daughter spy series written by Jack Thorne. Harbour will play a disgraced ex-FBI agent, with Brown as his estranged daughter who goes missing on a mission. Harbour hinted at their ongoing bond, saying, 'You'll see more of me and Millie — 10 years wasn't enough.'
